Happy Mothers' Day 世上只有妈妈好!

Today is Mothers' Day and I must agree; Mother knows best, they endure the pain of delivery and bearing a child. Being a Mom is a sacred partnership with God. "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiates 3:1

Genesis 3:16
To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

Flowers are wonderful reminders to me of the grace of God in my life. Our Lord used lilies of the field to remind me of the provision of our heavenly Father. In His great Sermon on the Mount, Jesus talks about the lilies of the field, Matthew 6:28-29 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these."

If Jesus is concerned about flowers and birds, He certainly cares about you and me.

Spending quality time together

Yes its March school holiday again! Reminded to spend some quality time together as a family. Allow the children to relax, enjoy the sun and experience "Life". During the weekends my family traveled to Malaysia for the church's family camp and it is really wonderful.

We try to have the children spend quality time in God's beautiful creation: Nature!

"For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:9-10

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17

Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

How important is it to enjoy each other's accompany, especially so in the busy Singapore lifestyle. Same goes for God, our Lord enjoys our presence and we must please our Lord with our time. A time with my family, larger-family of Christ (making new friends) and bring focus back to Him.

Pleasing the Lord is not only to be a primary aim of every believer, but something at which we should all seek to excel, not to be accepted, but because we love the Lord, just like we love our children.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
